This privacy policy applies to the Oualid’s game of chess app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Oualid Ouazrou (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Commercial service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.
1. Information collection and use
A. Information You Provide to Us
We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you create an account, interact with other users or otherwise communicate with us.
Users can register an account by connecting a third-party service such as Epic Games, we may receive your PI from these third parties including but not limited to your display name, language preferences, linked account display names, online status, and list of friends.
When you contact us directly by any means we will collect your email address, name and any information you provide.
B. Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Services
When you access or use our Services, we automatically collect information about you, including:
- Usage Information: We collect information about your use of our Services, including gaming service ID, game scores, time spent using our Services, and other game play information.
- Hardware Information: We collect information about the computer or device you use to access our Services, including the hardware model, operating system and version.
- Log Data: In case of an error in the app you may be prompted to report the error and send data and information (through third party products) on your device called log data. This Log data may include information such as your device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing the Application, the time and date of your use of the Application, and other statistics.
2. How We Use Information
- To permit you to register and use the Services, including for example for match making, inviting or joining your friends’ sessions.
- To respond to your inquiries and fulfil your requests, retrieve your password, or provide technical support.
- To maintain and analyse the functioning of the Services
- To carry out any other purpose described to you at the time the information was collected.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not share, transfer or otherwise exchange your personal information with third parties, unless required for the provision of our products or services, otherwise in accordance with this Privacy Policy, as permitted by law, or if you have given us express consent. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. In compliance with the aforementioned, we may share information about you as follows or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:
- With other users if you choose to participate in the interactive areas of our Services, such as multiplayer, chat, or sharing features (the use of personally identifiable data (such as your full name) as a username in our services is strictly prohibited).
- In response to legal process or a request for information if disclosure is in accordance with, or as otherwise required by, any applicable law, rule, or regulation (including, for example government or regulatory bodies, law enforcement, or courts of law).
- If we have reasonable grounds to believe your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, or to protect the rights, property and safety of our users or others.

Data Retention
We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfil the transactions you have requested, or for other business purposes, to comply with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. We decide how long we need PI on a case-by-case basis. We may consider the following factors when making retention decisions:
- Whether we need to keep some of your Personal Information to maintain your Account;
- Whether we are required by law to keep some types of Personal Information for certain periods of time to comply with our legal obligations; and
- Whether we need some of your PI for other business purposes, such as to prevent harm and ensure safety and security of our Sites; investigate possible violations of our terms and conditions of use; or protect ourselves.
5. Children’s Privacy
The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider (contact@oualid.games) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf).
7. Data Protection Rights
You, and your legal guardian if you are a minor, have certain data protection rights under applicable law. Your rights under applicable law may include:
- Access to the personal information we process about you as well as the right to data portability
- The right to have personal information corrected or erased,
- The right to restrict the processing of your personal information
- The right to withdraw your consent at any time for consent we have obtained from you, although this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the withdrawal.
- You have also have the right to object, at any time, to the processing of your personal information.
- Where we process your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to such processing, including for profiling purposes to the extent that it is related to direct marketing. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your personal information for such purposes. In that case we may still send you transactional or relationship messages, but only about our ongoing business relations.

If you are not satisfied with the way we handle your request, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence. We do not provide different levels of service if you exercise these rights. However, if you request we delete or cease collecting information which is necessary to ensure adequate functioning of the Services, you may not be able to use all or some parts of our Services.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Our Application may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
